Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 and Warzone Season 02 release date has officially been confirmed in a recent blog post from the franchise. This news comes as Steam and other platforms have seen a huge decline in players over the holiday period.
Black Ops 6 popularity has dwindled in recent weeks with players blaming a lack of meaningful content in both Black Ops 6 and Warzone with the added increase in cheating across all modes, including Ranked Play.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 and Warzone Season 02 will officially release on Tuesday, January 28 according to recent patch notes for an update from Treyarch and Activision.

There have been very little leaks or rumours to suggest what type of content we might expect to see in the upcoming seasonal update. Verdansk is expected to return in early 2025 so we could see that launch at some point during Season 02.
Other rumours include the release of Grief mode in Zombies that pits player against player in a bid to be the last team standing, but no new BO6 Zombies map is expected for a few more months, likely in Season 03.
We can certainly expect a brand-new Season Pass for players to purchase and unlock exclusive items, new bundles, new weapons, new operators, new modes, and new maps for multiplayer.
Black Ops 6 and Warzone Ricochet Anti-Cheat
both Black Ops 6 multiplayer and Warzone are suffering from, what seems like, record numbers of cheaters in the game, ruining the experience for legitimate players. Activision did recently state that they have seen these issues and are working on the next big thing to ramp up bans and removing cheaters from the game.
The companies anti-cheat, Ricochet, has been in the game for several years now, and although it has seem some successful moments, players are still asking if it is doing enough to keep the game fair and fun to play as weeks go by where it appears does nothing in combating the issue.
