It has been claimed that Black Ops 6 Zombies voice actors have quit over AI Protection concerns. Allegedly, these resignations include nearly every actor for Black Ops 6 Zombies according to trusted Call of Duty insider/leaker @GhostofHope on X (formerly Twitter).
In his tweet, he explains that many of the actors who's voices and likenesses we see in the popular undead mode have already exited the project and with the release of DLC 1 we have seen changes to S.A.M's voice and we should expect more changes in future DLC's as a result of it.
Almost all of the actors that feature in the Zombies crew in Black Ops 6 Zombies have pulled out of working over the lack of AI protections in their contracts. This has resulted in some of the disappointing recasts we are now seeing early on (Ex: SAM on Citadelle), with some likely still to be recast in future maps etc. @GhostofHope via X
Actors are concerned that AI might be used to either replace voices in video games, but also replicate and duplicate individuals, using their voices 'likeness' without the need to pay the voice owner.
Strikes are currently taking place against game studios after negotiations to better protect video game actors failed to reach any meaningful conclusion. Activision Blizzard is one such company that is under pressure to better protect its actors.
