Today we are taking a look at the Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Season 02 release date and other details. We are now passed the halfway point in Black Ops 6's first season, but how much longer will it last and when can we expect another big update?
Black Ops 6 Season 01 has just had it's mid-season update on December 5. This bought a brand-new Zombies map, Citadelle des Morts, and a whole host of new weapons, maps, modes, perks, GobbleGums, and more to the game.
It is rumoured that Black Ops 6 Season 01 will receive a third update before Season 02, a kind of 1.75 update, but that is nothing more than a rumour at this time - what an 1.75 update might look like is a mystery as it has never happened before.
Black Ops 6 Season 02 Release Date and Details
Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Season 02 is expected to release in early 2025 on Wednesday, January 29, according to the in-game countdown timer for time remaining on Season 01.
What Season 02 contains is obviously unknown but based on years of seasonal content we can guess that it will have new multiplayer maps, new modes, new weapons, new cosmetics, a new battle pass, and potentially a brand-new zombies map.
More importantly we might see the return of fan-favourite Verdansk during Season 02 as officially Call of Duty channels stated that the eastern European location would feature in Warzone in early 2025.
Warzone will celebrate it's 5th anniversary on March 10, 2025 so we can probably expect the classic big map to arrive around that time again as the franchise ramps up its celebrations.
