Fortnite announces 5v5 Competitive First-Person Shooter 'Ballistic', and it's coming to Early Access very soon. The Battle Royale giant has been working on a competitive fps game behind the scenes and have finally revealed it to the world.
Fortnite Ballistic will release in early access from December 11 with both ranked and unranked modes available at launch. Ballistic is a big step away for the popular third-person battle royale game.
It will be competitive, it will be in first-person, and it will have 5 against 5 in a more traditional multiplayer setting.
According to the official blog post, Ballistic will land in early access with just one map - Skyline 10. But, players will have a large selection of weapons and items to mess around with.

It is undeniable that Fortnite is still one of the most popular games on the market even after all these years and a venture into the traditional first-person arena shooter probably has some of its competitors, like Call of Duty, a little worried.
Although from the sounds of it, this game looks to be taking aim at the likes of Counter Strike or Valorant rather than the Black Ops or Modern Warfare universes.
Players will be divided up into two teams, one attacking and one defending. Attackers must blow up the enemies sites, whilst defenders must stop them. Players will start the match with a pistol, making cash as they get kills and wins to buy better gear as the match progresses.
When it does enter Early Access it will be available on PlayStation, Xbox, Switch, and PC, and every region that Fortnite is supported, barring South Korea and Russia.
