Marvel Rivals is a free-to-play over-the-shoulder shooter based on the cinematic and comic book universe of Disney's Marvel. You'll be able to play as your favourite superheroes such as Iron Man, Spider-Man, Thor, Hulk, and just about any main character you can think of, each with their own skill set and unique abilities.
Free-to-Play PVP Shooter Marvel Rivals Releases Today
You'd be forgiven for mistaking the brand-new Super Hero Team-based PVP Shooter Marvel Rivals for Blizzard Entertainment's Overwatch or Valves Team Fortress. It shares many similarities with its once popular predecessors. Each Super Hero comes with its own abilities and ults, encouraging players to work together as a team to complete objectives and ultimately win the game.
Marvel Rivals releases later today, December 6, 2024. It will be available on PlayStation 4 & 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch and of course PC via launchers such as Steam.
As we previously stated, it will also be a free-to-play game with monetization in the form of season passes and in-game microtransactions, as is the popular method for game studios to make their money these days.
