Top 5 Games Like Escape from Tarkov Available Right Now

For those willing to dedicate time and effort to mastering a new extraction shooter, you'll be pleased to discover a plethora of games similar to Tarkov available. The following list showcases the finest alternatives accessible online in 2024.

5 - Incursion Red River

Incursion Red River

Incursion Red River offers a single-player and co-op extraction shooting experience without PvP combat, featuring an abundance of engaging gameplay and excellent value for money. Released in early access in April 2024, the game tasks players to embark on a Vietnamese adventure, evading bullets and hunting for treasure, either solo or with friends.

It's an impressive extraction shooter boasting lavish visuals, yet it doesn't match the polish of its competitors. This is due to its current alpha status. However, it is on its way to improvement, and investing now means getting in on the ground floor.

4 - Arena Breakout Infinite

Arena Breakout Infinite

Arena Breakout Infinite is so similar to Tarkov that the developer were accused of stealing code and assets from Battlestate Games in a number of ways. Those allegations are yet to be categorically proven. This extraction shooter that tops Escape from Tarkov in many ways. It is a visually stunning Tarkov-copy that also runs extremely well.

In Arena Breakout, players are tasked with exploring a variety of maps, securing better and better loot, whilst dealing with human and AI enemies. Arena Breakout Infinite is a near-perfect Tarkov alternative in 2024, and it is completely free-to-play.

3 - Call of Duty: DMZ

Call of Duty: DMZ

Call of Duty's DMZ has been available for several years now and although content and updates for the mode ceased over a year ago it still has plenty to offer players looking for a more casual extraction experience. That being said, it still offers an insane amount of depth with missions, tasks, and challenges for players to complete.

It has become harder and harder to access DMZ as more Call of Duty titles and Warzone updates have rolled out but it is still very much alive and players are hoping that developers Infinity Ward will return with an updated version of the game next year. Being connected to Warzone means it is completely free-to-play.

2 - Gray Zone Warfare

Gray Zone Warfare

Gray Zone Warfare is another open-world sandbox experience where players land in Lamang, a fictional Asian paradise. It offers realistic weapons, equipment, and gear to make the player feel completely immersed in the world.

Some downsides to GZW are the fact that you'll need to buy it and it kind of requires you to have a pretty good spec PC to run it comfortably without issues. That being said it is certainly worth the price tag and an update has recently gone live that adds a night/day cycle making combat and navigation far more challenging and interesting.

1 - Delta Force

Delta Force

"Loot, shoot, time to scoot".

Delta Force has the potential to take on the likes of not just Escape from Tarkov but Call of Duty and Battlefield as it offers a remastered Black Hawk Down campaign, large-scale battlefield-style multiplayer, and an extraction mode developed by some of the guys behind Call of Duty's DMZ.

We've placed this one at the top of the list for a few reasons. Firstly, it will be completely free-to-play with non-intrusive microtransactions and battle passes the games stream of revenue. Secondly, it will be widely available across nearly every platform meaning more players can get online with it.

You'll be able to download and play it for free on PlayStation, Xbox, PC, and Mobile Devices. Currently it is only available (as of December 5, 2024) on PC with console and mobile getting the full release probably next year in 2025.
