It has been 15 months since Grand Theft Auto 6's first trailer launched on YouTube, which has left us wondering when is Grand Theft Auto VI most likely to release? Today we are taking a look at everything we know about the upcoming Rockstar game and when it might release globally.
The first Grant Theft Auto 6 trailer released on December 4th, 2023. Mostly showing a living, breathing alternative Vice City, with busy streets and beaches, bright lights, and open air areas. Even though the trailer launched over 14 months ago, we are still waiting further news.
When is Grand Theft Auto VI Most Likely to Release?
According to the most recent information, GTA 6 is expected to launch in the fall of 2025. This anticipated release period has been repeatedly referenced by Take-Two Interactive, the parent company of Rockstar Games, in multiple financial reports and statements.
Nonetheless, delays are possible, with some insiders indicating that if development lags, the release might be postponed to 2026. Currently, however, the game is still set to launch in fall 2025 for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S.

Going by previous Grand Theft Auto releases, it could be as early as September or as late as November in 2025, providing it of course doesn't get delayed, which it still might.
When Will Grand Theft Auto 6 be Available on PC?
Again, lets cast our minds back to the release of Grand Theft Auto 5. It originally released for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 on September 17th, 2013. We are sorry to report that it did not launch on PC until April 14th, 2015. Which is nearly 2 years after its release on console.
The developers behind GTA 6 have already stated that there will be a delayed release for PC, but how long players might have to wait is anyone's guess. It could be as long as a year or two.
Given the growing popularity of PC since the last GTA launch, Take-Two are likely trying to speed up the PC port as many players have migrated to desktop since then. We like to hope that PC player's won't have to wait long at all.
When Can we Expect Grant Theft Auto VI Trailer 2?
The short answer is probably soon. It has been 18 months since Trailer 1 released and fans have been bombarding Rockstar and it's other social media pages asking for more news, which has so far been to no avail.
If we can expect Grand Theft Auto 6 to release this year as planned, it will likely enter the Pre-Order phase within the next few months. This is when the marketing for the game will really start to ramp up, with more trailers and other details being shared across everything.
