When is Verdansk returning to Call of Duty: Warzone? After years of speculation, Warzone developers Raven Software announced that the original launch map, Verdansk, will return during Black Ops 6's life-cycle of the popular battle royale mode.
Verdansk is the original map that launched along side Warzone back on March 10, 2020. It quickly became one of the most popular and successful battle royales on the market thanks to it's smooth gameplay and the fact it was free-to-play.
Ever since Verdansk was removed from map rotation just 18 months after its release, fans have been begging for its return to Call of Duty: Warzone. For years rumours had been circulating it would return and it was even teased back in Modern Warfare III's campaign where certain missions took place in the fabled city.
When is Verdansk Returning to Call of Duty: Warzone?
The short answer is that there is no official release date for Verdansk, but, Activision confirmed that Verdansk will return in Call of Duty in the Spring 2025.
Taking a guess, it could potentially release on the 5th anniversary of the original launch which was March 10, 2020.
It was originally thought that Verdansk would launch alongside Black Ops 6's integration of Warzone as a new big map to replace Urzikstan but this was ultimately not the case. Fans would have to wait a little longer.
Which Version of Verdansk Will Release?

It is unclear how Verdansk will look when it does return early next years, we've had multiple versions of it over the years but it could have undergone even more changes to modernize it more. Although fans are obsessed with the map, it could do with a few improvements.
We can certainly expect to see all of the iconic points of interest that we came to know and love like Hospital, Dam, Prison, and Stadium. If new locations can be expected is unknown at the moment.
Not much has been said since the initial announcement that Verdansk would return, but as we head into the new year, and with Warzone interest currently on the ropes, we wouldn't be surprised if we start to see and hear more about the returning map soon.
